MANNHAI To Release 'Spaceball' Single In January

Finnish "stoner rockers" MANNHAI, whose current lineup includes singer Pasi Koskinen (ex-AMORPHIS, AJATTARA),will release their new single, "Spaceball", in Finland on Wednesday, January 18. "This is the first release from the upcoming full-length album, and will also include a fine and an exclusive bonus track, 'The Rocketeer'," the band write on their web site. "The pre-listening party will take place in Helsinki's On The Rocks club on Thursday, 29th of December. The single will be presented by DJ Japi, and MANNHAI will play a full set, including some old songs, and a lot of new stuff as well."

As previously reported, MANNHAI's new album is being recorded at Jive Studios in Helsinki. The band have demoed 10 out of 20 new tracks and describe the material as "heavier and more guitar-driven" than that on the previous CD, 2004's "The Exploder". Songtititles set to appear on the new album include "Fuzzmaster", "Downers", "The Burn" and "Better Hate Yesterday".

MANNHAI's third album, "The Exploder" was mixed at Soundtracks studio in Helsinki with producer Jürgen Hendlmeier (FLAMING SIDEBURNS, MUTANTS) and was mastered by Björn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Stockholm.
